R.I.P. Casey Kasem

I loved him as Shaggy, he's the best Shaggy in my opinion. But he was also Peter Cottontail in the Rankin/Bass special "Here Comes Peter Cottontail", one of my favorites growing up.

At least he passed on without any additional drama in the last few days of his life.

I mentioned elsewhere about his dedication of the Carpenters' version of "Sing" to all the Sesame viewers out there ("You Sesame kids should dig this one!").

He did a lot of voiceovers for early Sesame cartoons, loved him as Shaggy ("Scooby Doo, Where Are You?"- my vote for best cartoon theme song ever!) loved him even more as Peter Cottontail.

Highly underrated as Mark Venture on "Battle of the Planets".

Thanks, Casey, for your wonderful voice. Can't take my ears off of you.
