Why is it such a sterotype, that white people are stuck up, black people are ghetto and mean, british people are gay, and spanish people are dumb...?

I don't know, but here is what I want to ask...

Why is it after all these years, and after how far we've come, that in a number of cases, some white people still act like they're far above everyone else, and some black people still act like they're being oppressed?

'Cause we HAVEN'T come all that far. Not in many people's minds, unfortunately.

As recently as the mid-'90s, I had an inlaw (not that I ever spoke to him. EVER) who was stockpiling weapons against the Great Race War imminent. No joke.

As far as racism, I think we have come very far. The current problem is poverty, which I think is often mislabeled as a race issue.
