Didnt they have like a falling out or something? I thought they were refusing to work together any more for some reason. I could be wrong though

That was supposedly a while ago. Unless they've had another rift in their relationship since then, they have made an "animated" movie and guest starred on the Simpsons parodying that breakup.

Chong ALMOST got paired with Cheech voicing the hyenas in "The Lion King". But negotiations fell through and Whoopi Goldberg was cast instead.

A question sort of related to that: was I the only one who thought, when I first saw the Lion King, that the lead hyena was a dude? I was shocked when I learned she was a female. Was I the only one?

I remember reading that they were unable to contact/locate Chong at the time. Which makes me wonder what happens when somebody who gets residuals/royalties is missing... Do they hold off on releasing it until they can find them, or do they keep the money somewhere until they know where to send it, or what?

I also thought that Hyena was a male and was surprised when I found out that Whoopi was the voice. So was she female and we just didn't realize it, or was it a case of a woman voicing a male character? Does that Hyena do anything gender-speciffic (or do they address it as a "he" or a "she")?
