I completely hand sew everything. I never use a sewing machine for any job.

Hand stitching is very easy to learn and project puppet even gives you a few stitches to practice on their site.

It takes longer but ultimately produces a far better result than machine sewing can ever give.

For anyone starting out I would recommend practicing some hand sewing on basic sock puppets or even the "glorified sock puppet" pattern from that same website. Once you have that nailed (and it doesnt take long) you will feel much more confident tackling a harder project.

I recomend not even using a sewwing machiene,it locks in fur leaving a noticable seem.Hand sewwing gives a much better result when you sew well.:wisdom:
