Question about wireless cable TV

I've heard about this wireless cable TV(must be similar to wireless internet). If a handheld TV is cable or satellite ready, can I have wireless cable TV on my handheld TV if I carry the Tv around within the proper distance of the transmitter?

What? Really? I have never heard of such a thing in all my life. Sounds life a pretty cool concept though!
