a sticky is a thread that always stays at the top of a sub-forum. It cannot get bumped down by regular threads, only other stickys

What Sarah said is correct. Making a thread "sticky" is just a way to highlight the more important/popular discussions.

 I've read the previous posts and I still don't understand who gets to make a thread sticky and how do you do it? Also, since I'm new here and don't know whether to start a new thread(or where) on my next question, here goes: Is it safe to assume that if somebody knows the answer to a question I ask(which is my first post and a new thread),they'd answer?!? I only ask because there've been like 16 0r 17 views, but no replies. :concern: I really would appreciate an answer,if anybody knows.
