Does anybody think that Seymour and Pepe may have had their voices modelled upon Ren and Stimpy?

The resemblance seems so very strong to me.

Now that you mention it, I see a resemblence. More in Pepe though, I could hear Ren in there. Haven't heard much of Seymour. Its probably a conicidence though.

I just see the duo as the classic skinny - large comedic pairing. We know Pepe's voice comes from his mother-in-law. I've never thought of this comparison before and they do seem like Ren and Stimpy, but I don't think they were originally modeled after them. However, some of the writers could have easily had that in mind when penning a few scenes. That is entirely possible. Hmmm. :search:

Maybe we should ask Mr. Lewis about this. I'd like to see his answer on this.
