Question about live hand puppet sleeves

Are they attached or something? cause sometimes they have the arm pinned to the puppets stomach and you dont see a sleeve hanging from the elbow. is there something like a hole by the elbow?

There is a sleeve coming off the elbow of the puppet. The sleeve is the same fabric as the shirt/arm of the character (ie. the Swedish Chef has arm sleeves of white like the ones on his shirt, whereas Rowlf's sleeves are the same fabric as his fur). When that hand is pinned for some reason the sleeve is tucked into the elbow hole it's coming out of.
