Hi everyone! Today I had the great fortune of finding the Fraggle Rock First Season Boxed Set while out shopping. As Wembley would say "Whoopie!!" But I have a question about that boxed set. It says on the back of the box "Includes a replica of Jim Henson's Original Notepad". Just curious, but is this copy of the notepad supposed to be in paper format, or is it on the Bonus Features disc? The reasons I ask this are 1.) theres a little slot in the back lid of the box that looks like its supposed to hold paper or something (like those slots you see in some binders and folders), and 2.) theres nothing in it! So, whats the story on the "Notepad replica"? If the replica is supposed to be in paper format like the original, somebody goofed on my DVD set (not that its a huge deal or anything, I'm just curious).

Ugh, it looks like they might have forgotten to put the notebook in, that's too bad. Maybe you could return it. If not, at least you got the episodes!

Where did you get the set? If it was used, then there's the very likely possibility that whoever sold it didn't put in the notebook.

Okay, so the notebook is in paper format....

Actually, the set is brand new, and never used. Bought it at the local Toys R Us, and the security on these box sets alone are so tight, it had a security system thing attached to the box that only the cashiers could remove! So clearly, its a case of whoever packaged this set of DVDs forgetting to put in the notebook replica. Oh well, no biggie. I bought the set for the show, not the special inserts. But it would be nice to know what the notepad says, in a nut-shell.

It's a notebook that Jim wrote in on a plane ride in between London and New York when he was on his way to pitch the show. It's basically a rough copy speech all about the Fraggles and their worlds, and his aim for the show. It's interesting, becuase they weren't called Fraggles yet. He says that their working name is Woozles! But it's pretty cool. It's like our own version of his notepad, with his writing and everything.

Cherrypotion,

All the bonus material on the first set is excellent. If you like the show I think you would enjoy the notepad. Besides, you paid for it.

Try calling HIT Entertainment (their number is on the bottom of the box) and explaining the situation to them. They might send you a replacement.

Yeah, it's really cool to have. I have it and it was a good read. Very interesting. The whole consept of it, and before I read this, I honestly thought that Jim Henson was on something. Don't know what, just something. Then the concept was pretty cool. Actually, the only reason I bought it was because I needed change and was thinking of getting it anyways(I know bad reason for an impulse buy, but I'd do it over again dangnabit) But yeah, it's supposed to come with it, I agree with everybody call the place and say something. I mean, yeah it's not a big deal, but it's a freebie that you were supposed to get. Either that or sue them lol.
