from the original muppet show, i believe this featured Kermit's nephew, forgot his name and i think he was trying to learn addition and i don't rememebr exactly how this began but it took place off stage by the dressing rooms and began singing the addtion song that went someting lik 1 and 1 are 2 etc. here's my question, for anyone who have watched Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood there was a song that was sung often the the neighborhood of make believe segments that went like that. 1 and 1 are 2 2and 2 are 4 4 and 4 are 8 5 and 5 are 10 12345 678910. while this song from the Muppet show wasn't the same song and there's no connections to either show. and while most songs and music were mostly other people's music, i wonder if there was some exceptions and maybe they had the mr. Rogers song i mentioned in mind when this skit was done?

Hmmm. I think I do remember hearing Robin sing that one. I'm not quite sure when. I think I heard it on MC radio. I'm not sure about the Mr. Rogers connection, but you might want to check the Kermitage episode guide to find out which TMS episode that was.

The Muppet Show song you are referring to is "Inchworm". It was sung twice on the show: onstage in the Charles Aznavour episode in season 1 and backstage for the Danny Kaye episode in season 3.

I'm aware of the Mister Rogers song you are referencing. It was written in the late 60's and performed often on his show through the 70's. However, I'm not aware of any relation between the two tracks.
