You see, you guys are great. I want to go the other way, but alas the artistic pencil pushing talent I received went undeveloped and was wasted.

Don't be a fool, stay in school...

(Actually I did finish school several times, but I digress. I did waste my cartooning. I was good once, but you can imagine what 20 years of not doing it will do to you.)

I'm doing a panel on puppetry, but I'm focusing on TV Puppetry more than anything else, in March.
Cool! Where at? If I'm not working, maybe I can attend!

It's not worth coming to, buddy! Sweet of you to be enthusiastic though. It's a small, tiny convention here in Memphis. I'll have to give you some history one day.

However, my peeps and I here are planning on doing a convention for cartooning, comics, story boards, and several other emphasisesis also. I plan on having puppetry be a part of that somewhere.

If you're definitely going to be at San Diego Comic-Con in July and want to participate in a panel about puppetry AND cartooning (not just one or the other), e-mail me at mayberry@melonpool.com. I need your name, address, e-mail and phone info for the form in case they have to contact you.

DO NOT POST THIS INFO HERE. E-MAIL ME.

Also, if you need it, I have a pdf of a form for the pro registration so you can get in free.

I like to draw and perform with puppets, but, since I'm only 12 I don't have any web sites or anything. :smirk:

Wonderful Work everyone,

I was an artist long before I decided to build puppets. Now that I have the Ripples puppet ministry, we are doing "Stories from the Brook". I have started to create a comic strip for the kids to download and color and also shirts to sell to help support the cost of the ministry.

It is all original work (mine.) I hope you enjoy. Only one strip up now but more to come. Feel free to download the pic for your little ones to color.

Keep up the good work!

Hey, guys, this thread is kind of old, but I'm a cartoonist and am just getting into puppet building. I can't post my URL yet since I don't have enough posts under my belt, apparently. But trust me -- it's good stuff!!! ;-)

I have always been mutually interested in puppetry and cartooning, and love one as much as the other!

I look forward to seeing your stuff.

I'm at Comic-con every year! I would love to hang with more puppet folks! Keep us posted, or however we can plan on meeting! Great idea a panel on puppetry and animation (I just know that folks in animation have used puppets for reference or to help with performance).
