DIE PUPPENSTARS 2016
A German TV Success Story
The success of the first season of “Die Puppenstars” showed: All puppetry art forms belong on the big stage and in the TV spotlight! Wonderful puppeteers, artists and alternative performers proved to a large TV audience how varied, entertaining, imaginative, daring and colourful puppetry can be.
And we are also proud of our artists who amazed Germany with their performances and made the first season a memorable event.
OUR SHOW IN BRIEF Pros, young artists and hopeful up-and-coming prodigies present themselves, their characters and their puppetry art in our preliminary round with a 3-minute performance. A three-person jury judges the performances and decides right away if the artist advances to the final. In the first season winners received prize money in the amount of 50,000 Euro (1st place), 25,000 Euro (2nd place) and 10,000 Euro (3rd place).
WANTED: PUPPETEERS After the success of the first season, we are now looking for puppeteers from all art forms, ages and nationalities for a second season of “Die Puppenstars”.
Whether you are an amateur or pro, young or young at heart: Are you a ventriloquist? Or a comedian with a hand puppet? Become a part of the Puppenstars family and sign up! Anyone with a unique idea for an inspiring puppetry performance is welcome to apply.
