My name is Tim from New York and I just recently found this forum. I've got over 25 years of puppetry experience and have taught puppetry to over 150 people. I recently set up a web site to offer training and resource helps to individuals interested in puppetry (some free and some for sale.) The first item I've got up is a "how to" course on basic and advanced puppetry. If you are interested you can check it out at

www.ExperiencePuppets.com

I'm also looking forward to learning some new things from being a part of this forum.

I hate to just jump on a post and call it spam right off.

So I went to the website through the link. It offers the first "lesson" as a free download. Just type in your e-mail address and first name. I have a couple of e-mails that I can use for stuff like this, so I typed one in and a first name.

It took me to a page where they wanted me to pay $19.95 for the second "lesson".

Either the "free" download isn't actually free or someone never actually checked to see if his website really worked.

either way, "coughcoughspamcoughcough"

Oops

MGov,

Thanks for catching the mistake. This is the first time I've worked with an autoresponder and thought I could have two different opt-in boxes on one page. Apparently not.

To help make up for the mistake, I'm offering both Course 101 and 202 for free. I've made the changes to the site and checked it out and it worked fine. If you have any other problems let me know.

Sorry for the mistake. I have no desire to mislead anyone or trick anyone into buying a course from me.

"Source file could not be read"

That's what happens now when I try to download.

Sorry that you're having problems with the download. I've tried it on a couple of different computers with no problems. I'm going to have some friends try it out to see if they have problems as well. I'm not famililar with macs. Is it possible that I saved the pdf in a manner that a mac wouldn't read?

Thanks again for the heads up. This is new to me and I want to work out any bugs as quickly as possible. I know my tendency when I try a site that doesn't work is to just move on and not say anything. You've helped me see that it is a good idea to speak up. The person might not know there is a problem and could be loosing traffic and sales without realizing it.

I downloaded it on a mac. No problems so that must not be it tim. By the way I didn't expect each session to be 30 pages that is awesome. Good job on the tutorial.
