Hey everyone. I have just completed some improvements to my puppet stage.

First of all my stage is 6 foot tall the front is 3 feet wide. and It is 4 feet deep. I added a holder for my laptop. It is eye level with the keyboard slanted to save room in there. I connect my Itunes through my computer to my speaker system, I can control my sound and music inside the stage.

I no longer have to depend on my sound control.

I am planning on running my mic through the computer to control the volume also.

I am also going to get a web cam to place on top of the stage so that I can run it to the computer and see what my puppet sees.

Just wanted to share some ideas that seem to be working out for me with the others here.

One thing I found out with my webcam tests is that it mirrors everything. This actually makes it easier to use as a monitor (left is actually left), but if you have it pointed towards the audience, you'll have the opposite problem -- left will be right.

I like all the other ideas, though! Is it a one-person show?

It is a one man show. JUST ME ! I did have a partner during christmas and I built and add on to the stage (temp).

I am trying to figure out how to run my mic into the comp. Is there a special program to run a mic?

ANyone have any ideas.

I am also going to cut a rectangle out of the bottom front of the stage and slide my amp speaker half way into the stage and cover the front of it with the curtains. This way I hide the speaker and I can control the back controls if needed. Plus no one can play with it.

I foun my mic control. I only have a really bad mic to test it . It works but sounds really bad. Maybe a better mic would sound much better. I am sure there is a sound board mixer program out there somewhere. I am really getting into this laptop control center. I just need more hands!!

I have a one-man and a large stage that I use. You can see the pics of the one-man stage on "The Year in Pictures" on the home page of http://www.ripplesministry.org

I used a Karaoke machine and a palm pilot before getting my sound board for all my sound. In fact I still play my sound files through my board on my palm pilot.

Good Luck
