Could someone help me here. I would love to get some interments for my puppets and all but can't seem to find small versions for them to use. Does anyone have an solution on this? Oh and if I could keep it under 100.00 dollars too. Thanks.

Man, i've seen some strange spellings on the net, but hey, this one takes the grand prize

Anyway, check out some toys in the toystores. Sometimes they sell really realistic toy-instruments.

Well, if you're handy enough to build puppets, you should be handy enogh to build some instruments. They don't even have to be made with the correct materials. If you're filming it on camera you can fake pretty much everything.

Drums: make a drum out of cardbord and cover it with shiny paper that looks like metal.
Piano: well...it's pretty easy to build a mock up piano with some wood. A friend of mine back in the 4th grade made a syntheseizer in wood in class for a play we did
Saw: hmmmm....just find a really small toy...

Play with your imagination

Too funny! I read this thread thinking someone needed help burying their puppets! Yes, like it or not, SPELLING COUNTS!

Finding miniature musical instruments can be extremely difficult. One of the problems with toy instruments is that they are very rarely proportionally scaled down. They also need to match the scale of your puppets, which can make it even more challenging.

I work for a company that manufactures straps and accessories for musical instruments, and we had an idea for one of our trade shows to use miniature instruments but our search came up empty.

As suggested, it would probably be best to make your own, but the sax will definitely be the most challenging. I once needed a flute for a puppet and I just went to the plumbing section of the hardware store and looked for something that looked particularly flute-like. Once I had the basic chromed tube, I simply glued on some mylar dots (think metallic confetti) for the keys, and voilá, I was in business. I affixed the puppet's hands directly to the flute and then used a single control rod for the flute itself for manipulation.

Good luck!
