That is the greatest thing I have ever seen! I never thought to construct PVC puppet trees in the manner you have, I've just usually seen them constructed to store puppets in a row, but this would solve all kinds of storage problems.Yeah, I've used the large plastic bins as well. Though I prefer to mount the puppets on some sort of stand as the bins tend to smush the puppets a bit.
Anyway here is the stand I mentioned earlier. I built this entirely out of 3/4" PVC pipe, joints, and caps for a total cost of about $20. The empty poles at either end of the top row show what they look like under the puppets. I love PVC as it's cheap, easy to work with and doesn't even require any kind of glue or anything. That rack is completely pressure fitted together which means I can pretty easily take it apart to transport it too.

Hopefully you'll find something in all of the various responses offered here that you can use. Best of luck!
i may have, and im always looking for something...one of my curses in puppet storage is that i am always on the move and some of my guys vary in size...while i dont want something permanent id like a stand like that. for quick access to the guys i constantly use,ill admit as you stated Freddy never goes in a box, he has his own stand on my desk away from a window and his own backpack he goes into during travelAnd Julio... maybe I'm imagining things, but haven't you asked this question before? I seem to recall you being keen on the idea I mentioned that I keep Steve in a puppet-sized chair that I got, and that you wanted to do something similar with Freddy.
