Gee, it's nice to see that either I'm a proud thread killer again, or people around here are still ostracizing me.

Either way, it seems as if I've been a good boy at YouTube, because as of today, they announced that selected members with accounts in good standing will be allowed to upload videos longer than the new 15 minute limit... and it appears I'm one of them!

SO, because of that, I'm considering that if this is the case, then I might just upload the half hour episodes of the show in its entirety, rather than the individual 9 minute and 2 minute segments and such. Which would (any of) you guys prefer? Would you rather see the entire half hour show episodes posted, or would you like to see them broken up and each segment from the episodes posted individually?

If you're able to upload the whole 30 minutes, I say go for it!

I post stuff over at blip.tv because they don't have that lame 10-minute time limit.

Sorry Snowth. I haven't been visiting MC regularly while I've been tied up with my grandmother in hospital, or I would have replied to you.

But if you can upload half-hour episodes I agree to go for it. I promise I'll comment upon them in this thread as I'm not a Youtube member.

Quite a few people have suggested Blip.tv as an alternative to YouTube, especially since it's less of a hassle for enable revenue sharing; while I HAVE heard good things about it, in this case, at the same time, I've also heard just as many bad reviews about it as well, so at the moment I'm skeptical. I know I said once before I'd post the episodes (or the installments) on MySpace TV... that ain't going to happen anymore. Uh-uh.

Well, it's Friday, but the new site/blog still hasn't been restored, so I'm going to contact Blogger/Google again later in the evening so they can take this matter "to the next step", if they have to. I have a sickening feeling, knowing Google, that it's NOT going to be restored, and if that happens, then I'll just have to recreate the entire blog again for a new account/URL... right after I scream, throw my computer out the window, kick over trashcans, punch the wall, beat the crap out of my pillows, and shout every obscenity I know of, of course. :halo:

How did I know?

So anyway, no response from Google, so the appeal has been "taken to the next level" to have it restored.

I would think it would be, as sometimes when I check, I can see in the loading process that the actual blog does try to load before being redirected to the "Blog was not found" message... but, if I know Google, and I do, they'll probably permanently remove it after reviewing for whatever stupid reason. :attitude:

In the event that that happens, I AM currently making plans to restart from scratch AGAIN, even though it was enough of a hassle the first time.

Yay, for once Google came through, and the site/blog's been restored.

Wow, I hadn't realized it's been so long since I posted updates here. :smirk:

Well, at any rate, all there really is to report at the moment is that puppeteers are being lined up, so right now, I have one of two steps that need to be tackled next: meeting with the TV people to talk about the show, or applying for a grant from the government to finance my end of production (puppet and set construction and whatnot)... I guess I should meet with the TV people first, because if they say no, there's all that money going to waste.

As of this post, I'm no longer going to share updates in this thread, since this thread seems to be just taking up space and such... so, you'll just have to read future updates on my site.

But at any rate, I know it may seem like I've been all talk and no do as far as the new show Steve D'Monster & Friends is concerned, but I tell you guys true, that is not the case, things have been bumpy and sticky as far as the show goes, mainly because people and text that claim to help you have been anything but: everybody and everything is basically telling me go back to school, and hire a production company to do the show for me... even though I AM the production company, and I AM the producer, therefore I shouldn't have to give my work away to someone else to do their way, because if it's not done my way, it's not done right.

On top of that, I'm a believer that talent should be put to work, not sent back to school, and even though I've never produced a television show before, I DO have some video, technology, and television experience under my belt thanks to two years of Video Production in middle school, and the interning I did down at the local PBS, doing odd jobs ranging from camerawork, to stage managing and such. I like learning on the job, and I learn by doing, that's the best way I learn, rather than sit for hours and "study" huge handbooks and such. If someone would just tell me how to produce a show, or show me what to do, I can do it.

But at any rate, here's what I'm getting at: I PROMISE you guys, and others who love Steve, and have been following my work and such, I PROMISE, I WILL have Steve D'Monster & Friends done before 2011 is over, no matter what it takes, nor what I have to do to get it done... and likewise, I promise to have my first all-puppet sitcom that I've been hinting about for the past few years on television no later than 2012... then by 2013, my SECOND all-puppet sitcom... then by 2014, my THIRD, in additional to maybe some kind of TV special for Steve since 2014 will be his tenth anniversary.

I'm a little miffed that half-hour shows are being shortened again from 21 minutes to 18 1/2 minutes; I have enough trouble trying to cram 21 minutes worth of content into a script and have it all flow smoothly and make sense, but 18 1/2 minutes is a near impossibility!

So, I've made a decision: I'm thinking I'll produce like two different prints of the same episodes, have one print be a 18 1/2 - 21 minute version for television broadcasts, and the other print be like an extended 26 minute (like in the old days) version for DVD releases and such.

This isn't an official announcement, so this is why I'm sharing this here, rather than on my official site/blog.

But anyshoe, since I'm still having such difficulties getting Steve D'Monster & Friends into production (I might just have to do it internet-exclusively rather than for local television with subsequent YouTube releases), a filler of sorts is being considered, and two of Muppet Central's greatest minds are teaming up again for a new project, similar to TGWTG's Radio Dramas; at the moment, nothing's set in stone, but it is being favorably considered. And, this could very well mark the debut of Steve's interaction with Bethany (or rather her "vocal understudy").
