Problem with quoting in posts

Could somebody please explain to me what you must do in order to quote from more than one previous post of a thread into the same new single post of your own?

Hey Martin, it's really quite simple actually. Just copy the post you want from another thread, then you can do one of two things...

a.) You can format the quote yourself by placing "

"(without the quotation marks before and after the brackets) Then paste the information you want quoted here. Then having another set of brackets with "/quote" inside them. (again, without the quotation marks) at the end makes the quote box. And you should have a quaint little quote box.

b.) When doing a quick reply message, there's a little yellow colored speech bubble button, press it and you'll get the format for the quote, simply put the stuff you want quoted and the name of the person you're quoting and you're set.
