Please, PLEASE, can someone help me with this one? I’ve been racking my brains trying to remember what happened in these little fillers!

You may recall that sometimes between segments, the screen would go from completely black to some other color in a delightfully ridiculous way, like in this glass-breaking bit:


And I know there was an episode where the screen filled with sand. But I seem to remember one such bit in which a voice announced: “Presenting the pencil!” And then...what did the pencil do? Did it fill in the screen until everything was completely black? Were there more of these “Presenting the...!” things?
