Well, exam results time has come round again ... seems to be getting quicker every year! :S

Anyway, I passed everything in the mid 70s (yay!) and have applied to do either an MRes or PhD (fingers crossed!). Was just wondering if anyone else had done similar courses? Any advice?

Oh, and it's just snowed here:
Snooooooow!!!!!

Well, I'm currently in the PhD. program in English at the University of Iowa. What kind of advice are you looking for?

Well, I've applied to do both an MRes and PhD in Volume Graphics (specifically forensic fascial reconstruction) at the University of Wales Swansea, due to the uncertainty of the availability of funding for these courses.

I was basically wondering how different it was to the normal degree (I know it's not taught, but more than that any information would be appreciated!), and anything I should watch out for if I have an interview, etc. The standard "what's it like and any tips" kind of thing, really. Also, anything about your experiences with employers attitudes would be appreciated (the careers advisors here seem to be clueless, which is why I'm asking...)
