Meat Loaf. My mom and I have always been big fans of his and considering his most popular album, Bat Out Of You Know Where was released in 1977 he could've easily been on TMS.

I actually would have loved to see Bruce Hornsby on TMS had the show gone on a bit longer. A good Muppet cover of “Mandolin Rain” or “The Way It is” would have been cool.
