I used to always wonder why on a lot of the Ernie and Bert Records the song Pat Pat Patty Pat was on there, when it was all the charachters singing the song. Then I realized Bert is the one who introduces the song at the beggining so that's why. Also Oscar is in the song cause I hear him at the beggining say "I thought it was dumb" about Bert's song. But he never had a part. I think they should have gave Oscar a part in that song. Don't you? :grouchy: :grouchy: :grouchy: :grouchy: :grouchy:

Hmm, I never thought of that. But I also noticed that after he says that, Prairie actually agrees with him. Isn't that unusual? Come to think of it, does she have a part in the song? I don't think she does. Also, when Ernie says, "Then what happens, Bert?", I thought his voice was slightly different than it usually is. In fact, it sounded more like Jim Henson himself. There were also some points on the album, not necessarily that song where Herbert Birdsfoot sounds more like Sherlock Hemlock. Like in "Simple Song", when he says the line, "How about glasses?" Did you ever notice those things?

The song is originally from the 1971 album "Havin' Fun With Ernie and Bert". It's a fantastic album and has been one of my favorites ever since I was a little boy. The 1971 original includes a foldout map and game chart. The album was reissued in 1976 with a gatefold insert including a colorwheel and illustrations of the characters. All of the songs and sketches from it can be heard on Muppet Central Radio.

I thought that WAS supposed to be Sherlock Hemlock. It was never exactly stated just how many Muppets were supposed to be there. In one song, a couple of lines sound like Snuffy's voice (Maybe the fellow Muppets knew he was real before the humans did). I'm also not certain if every song/skit was originally from that album. A couple of them like "Ernie's Guessing Game" and "Tiger Hunt" seemed disjointed from the rest of the album.

Not to veer off topic, but since someone mentioned "Tiger Hunt", was Ernie's trusty rusty telescope ever seen in the show?
