I know that a lot of puppets have ostrich feathers for their hair and whatnot... I was just wondering exactly how long can this "material" come in? And if there's possibly a synthetic substitute that might work as well and how long can it come in as well?

Thanks for the info Wes.

The reason I asked is that I have new characters I'm working on building that I'd like to have the feathery hair for - they're about the size of a typical/standard puppet for like plays and such, one character has shoulder-length hair, and other two have shorter, but they come out of the top of their heads and kind of dangle down, like a wirey look... they're not even meant to look cute anyway, lol.

Just wasn't sure how well it would work, of course I'm not expecting perfect results anyway, as I've said many times, though nobody seems to believe me - I was always a better performer than a builder.
