Now that we saw five out of 145 episodes from Season 2 (1970-71): 131, 158, 162, 179, & 198, we'd like to see more episodes from that season on the new preschool channel coming in early 2005 and maybe we'd like to see one of the old clips we never saw and have. Here's the Ernie & Bert sketch with Oscar dressing up like Ernie...

(Scene: Ernie & Bert's apartment. Bert sees an empty containter of chocolate ice cream with banana peels, little bit of gravy, a couple of ice cubes, and a piece of Wrigly's Double-Mint chewing gum and two gum wrapers. He is upset.)

Bert: (To Ernie) Ernie!....Ernie!.....Get in here!

Ernie: (Entering) Oh hi Bert! It's been nice to see you! (Pats Bert's shoulder.)

Bert: Yeah, but don't touch me! I'm really upset right now!

Ernie: Do you have something to tell me?

Bert: Yes! What does the word "chocolate ice cream" to you?

Ernie: (Surprised for a bit.) Chocolate ice cream! Oh yeah! It's one of my favorite desserts! And chocolate is my favorite ice cream flavor of all! And luckily, I still have my full containter of chocolate ice cream so I can eat it anyway...

Bert: (Yelling) Now cut that out! That is MY container of chocolate ice cream right now! You can't have it until we buy TWO containers of chocolate ice cream! I'm here to examine clues for you.

Ernie: Oh yeah? Well, give me some clues.

Bert: OK. Clue#1-all I see in this empty container of chocolate ice cream are all of our banana peals, a little bit of gravy, a couple of ice cubes, and a piece of gum plus its wrapers! I think that my chocolate ice cream IS mixed with bananas, gravy, ice cubes and gum! The bananas, gravy, ice cubes, and gum were here with chocolate ice cream, and now we don't have all of bananas, gravy, and ice cubes anymore! We don't have anymore ice cubes for ice-cold glasses of milk and soda and juice and we don't have anymore gravy for our turkey dinner and we don't have anymore bananas to eat as a healthy fruit! What do you think?

Ernie: Well, it'd be very upsetting that we don't have any of those anymore.

Bert: Of course we don't have those anymore! Now Clue#2-the chocolate ice cream WAS mixed with bananas, ice cubes, gum, and gravy by someone with YOUR hair and YOUR red-and-blue striped shirt and it would be YOU! Did YOU do that?

Ernie: Well, er, I really didn't do it, Bert, but maybe an old neighbor that acts and disguises like me did it.

Bert: Oh, yeah? Well I will give you the next clue! Now pay attention and listen to me very closely! Clue#3-the chocolate ice cream mixed with bananas, gum, ice cubes, and gravy was made by someone that went "Keeheeheeheeheeheeheeheehee!"

Ernie: "Keeheeheeheeheeheeeheeeheee". Oh yeah, I always do my famous trademark laugh, but I really didn't do that, Bert. You see, maybe an old neighbor that acts and disguises like me did went "Keeheeheeheeheeheeheeheeheee!" when he or she mixed the chocolate ice cream with bananas, ice cubes, gravy, and gum, so I don't think it was me.

Bert: (Who suddenly changed his mind.) Okay, okay, okay! I give up! I have to find out who did it besides you!

Ernie: Well ask me about it!

Bert: Okay, who DID mix all of my chocolate ice cream WITH bananas, ice cubes, gum, and gravy?

Ernie: Well, er...(Oscar enters wearing a wig that looks like Ernie and Ernie's old red-and-blue striped shirt.)

Oscar: I did! (To Bert, acting like Ernie) Oh, hi Bert! Keeheeheeheeheeheeeheeeheee!

(Oscar takes Ernie's full container of chocolate ice cream and leaves. Ending music plays and both Ernie & Bert faint to the ground.)

Well what did you think of my own Season 2 skit where Oscar disguises like Ernie who took both Ernie & Bert's containers of chocolate ice cream? :stick_out_tongue: :frown: :grouchy:
