Those are pretty great too!

I was just about to chalk up my children remembrance/ obsession to insanity after years of searching (using the wrong search terms :frown: apparently) so I'm really, really satisfied at this point. Those Anything Muppets seem to go for about $50 when they are on eBay based on my new research, but I think that the newer FAO "Whatnots" are of much higher quality. It looks like the Anything's first came out in 1974 and had those hideously oversized plastic hands (Uggh).

I've found a bunch of links to photos now that I know it's an "Anything" instead of a "Whatnot."

See I like the older Anything muppet better than the Muppet workshop ones except for those plastic hands... I wonder why they decided to do that?

All puppets in that series came with plastic rods with rings that held the arms (allowing the arms to be puppeteered). The large hands no doubt allowed the rods to stay in place.
