Hiya! Okay Just a few thoughts. First of all I would like you all to check out my my space site: www.myspace.com/dannypuppet

At the top of the site I have my very first video I filmed with my digital camera.(I know it isn't anything amazing) That being said it wasn't anywhere near as hard to get posted there as I thought it would be (though tricky to film myself with a digital camera.... limited my puppet arm movements even though I had the camera on a tripod).

After I filmed my video I loaded on a site called tinypic.com. They gave me the tag to post it on my myspace site.....so if it is this easy to do (I still would have trouble with the making of as puppet though) couldn't we just open a myspace site and load our videos at tinypic and send the tag to who ever we put in charge of manning the myspace site?

Again just my humble thoughts... I really like this project idea and don't want it to fade into oblivion. Obviously some of you have more advanced experience as to how to get videos up on the net.... but I thought this might help.

D-A-N... N-N-Y... R-W-W...uh, that didn't work...
I always wanted my own theme song.

FYI, I never got past the loading screen...

I did a really crappy video (just playing around, my second attempt) on my website. I'm still learning. I've got my first attempt locked away in a secret vault so that it can be shown on Fox News for my thousands of fans upon my death. (Timely or untimely? Haven't decided...not really up to me)

Thanks for visiting!!!

He is the first of my Debut Line (that I will part with. My son got the first lion.) I hope to market these to puppet ministries (or others) who want to buy character and maintain "affordability" (as defined by most churches).

I'm lucky in that our church provides a pretty good budget for my team to travel (in-state) and to maintain several puppets. I've built all the ones we use now but I'm really still developing my style.

I'm blessed.

btw: *soundwise*The lion sleeps tonight.

As it is a free resource, I can't say what should be in the content of each segment. However, I feel uncomfortable with the whole OMFG or OMG thing. I'm uneasy with both and I'd hate to have to register my contribution under either one of the two.
This is to say, I'm in on the project.

I agree on the abreviation issue.... I'd rather have something that does not make anyone uncomfortable...as the goal is to make it open to everyone...... Also I watched the video that I posted and noticed that the sound does not synch with the video very well (which is not a problem on my original film). Is that a problem with my computer or a problenm with the site hosting it?

Okay, how about we dispense with the "OMG" and "OMFG" and just call the group "Omega." As for a logo . . . How about a plain old un-romantic "upper case" Omega?

Danny - CONGRATULATIONS! I haven't been able to see your videos yet (I have personal issues) but I'm sure they look great!

On a (sort of) disrelated note, my wife and I are starting up a project similar to this one, but much more "collaborative" and less "open source."

Read all about it: http://thefelties.blogspot.com/2006/01/timmy-tubesock-or-how-i-stopped.html#links

BTW: This is my way of "getting my feet wet" with video blogging.

Enjoy! (I hope.)

Wow!!! Can't seem to see the video but I really like the idea...Its good to see you and your wife getting something going for yourselves though since you were the one who posed this idea in the first place.
