Wow! Awesome ravagefrackle! I used to go there all the time...and across the street (Canal) to Pearl Paint. Is Pearl Paint still there?

Last time I was in NY, I went looking for some of the old places I used to go around Canal St, Like Canal Street Jeans and Alice Underground. When I got to where Canal Street Jeans USED to be it was a Bloomingdales! What a shame.

At any rate, awesome link and thanks for sharing.

hey guys, i went to school at NYU and frequently went down to canal st. for various projects. Canal rubber is definitely still there, as is the giant Pearl Paint store and it's extensions. i graduated this May, but was there all summer. now i'm in chicago and it's much harder to find stuff out here. there's a place, i think it's called Canal Plastics, that's similar to the other plastics store, but not as big or diverse.

NYC rules!
