On a plane for 26 hours!!!

It's about 15 hours from LA to Sydney and then you've got your connecting flights and waiting in airports depending on where you are in the US and where you're going to in Aus.

But we are in NY It would take another 4 hours to get to LA

Yeah, that's why I said you've got connecting flights and waiting in airports - you've got to add all that to the total time too. But the longest actual flight is about 15 hours.

It takes us 4 hours to get from Oklahoma to LA as well! Luckily we're moving out to California before we leave so we can cut that leg of the trip out this time
