When I was younger I remember watching an episode Sesame Street involving Snuffy, Big Bird, and a little girl. The little girl, I believe was Asian, and her family members were stars, literally. She was on the Earth for some unknown reason and Big Bird and Snuffy became her friends. Somehow they ended up playing a game of marbles. At the end the little girl turned into a star.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Sounds to me like you're thinking of Don't Eat The Pictures.

Yeah, this is "Don't Eat the Pictures," and it's the Sesame Street special where they get locked in overnight at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Big Bird and Snuffy befriend a little ancient Egyptian prince named Sahu (I think), and at the end he does, indeed, become a star. It's a great special, one of my favorites. I have a VHS from a few years ago, and sometimes you can still get lucky and find them in odd places (the museum itself may still have some). I hope they release it on dvd someday!
