I think this predates Sam and friends, does any one know for shure. I know its not Muppets but it's pretty neat. Sort of like Crank yankers for the 1950's

I'd heard of this video, but never seen it until now (thanks for sharing that Wes). Whatever people think of this material, Clampett was a real pioneer of puppetry on TV. In the 1930s he worked at his "day job" as an animator at Warner Bros. and spent his evenings and weekends doing puppetry.
