I know of a couple of sketches like this that there's no way they could air anymore. There is an Ernie and Bert sketch from the late 70's when Ernie comes back from Camp Early and Bert asks "Ernie what are you doing back from Camp? Your'e not supposed to come home from Camp for another week" and Ernie says "I know Bert, but I missed you old Buddy, and I missed Grover, and I missed Big Bird, and I missed Mr. Hooper" then he shows Bert some of the cool stuff he got while he was at Camp. Another one is an Ernie and Cookie Monster sketch from either the early or mid 70's and at the Beggining of it Ernie says "I was just at Hooper's Store and David gave me this big Delicious Cookie". I can't think of any other off the street Muppet sketches in which David or Mr. Hooper were reffered to in, but I'm sure there is more. Does anyone else know of any?

When was the last time the camp one aired? It couldn't have been after 1983.

Believe it or not it was actually on Sesame Park in 1998. It seemed strange they aired that one. Then again, Sesame Park had their own cast of charachters and humans in the so called "street scenes" but in a way it made even less sense to mention Mr. Hooper because he was not even considered ever being a part of that show. I actually prefer back when the Canada Co Production was just called Canadian Sesame Street and it was the same as American Sesame Street they just added a few Canadian inserts, and the shows were always from one season earlier :stick_out_tongue:

I bet that's why they could air it in Canada. People would have just thought maybe Mr. Hooper was just a friend that they mentioned, and was never on.

If they really wanted to, they could consistently air all of those skits with the right about of editing and dubbing. But, I doubt that they'd go to all that trouble to run an old skit; it would be more likely that they'd remake it.
