I've always thought of Snuffy being kind of depressing many times, before. But Marty just brings his signature manic energy to the table! He is also a pretty "happy go lucky" kind of guy Snuffy is and he has a tendency to just takes it easy...

And even despite the age-old rumor of Bert & Ernie's friendship being something more, NC even looked past that, because the characters are too timeless to truly insult.
I honestly don't mind that joke just for humor too much, unless it's too extreme. I mean it's not like they're saying E&B are criminals. :wink:

But everybody does. After all, they're only human (or in the case of the Muppets, have human-like qualities).
