I just got Digital Cable the other day once again for the first time in 2 years. (I had it cancelled when they took off Classic SS believe it or not) Well I tune in and I noticed EVERYTHING they used to show is gone. No Season 30 shows, No 2000 shows, nothing. They have ONE airing. Yes only one airing. Of Play with me Sesame. Before I think it was on twice a day. I was really surprized at how much they've cut back on their Sesame related programming. With just that one half hour airing of PWMS I'm wondering if that will be out the door soon too? It's a shame, Noggin started out as a really fun dream come true type of channell, now it's just like all the other kid's channells. I guess they figured they had to compete and now theyr'e competing.

It's because Noggin is now solely owned by Viacom, and since Viacom owns Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. shows, and since they're such pigs, they decided to make Noggin another Nick Jr. channel. At least we get some of the 1998-2000 episodes of SS on the new "Sprout".

Unfortunatley, the area that I recently moved to doesn't have Sprout on their cable lineup. I was a little disapointed about this the other day when I was looking around the channells for it, and it simply wasn't there. :frown: :frown: :frown:

I really wish when Noggin was first introduced, everybody had access to it.
But it all depended on what part of the country you lived in, and how much you'd be willing to shell out. Imagine that way back in 1999. If you want to see some old Unpaved episodes, you'd either have to know somebody lucky enough that had it, or you'd have to move!

It's the same fate that has befallen Cartoon Network and VH-1. Cartoon Network used to show lots of great old Hanna-Barbera shows from the 60's and 70's, great stuff courtesy of the Canadian National Film Board ( O Canada), plus some animated features you couldn't find anywhere else (Mr. Spimm's Cartoon Theatre). Sure, they had 9 episodes of Scooby Doo every day, but at least you had a chance of seeing something different.

Same goes for VH-1. Once upon a time, they showed some fantastic clips from the late 60's/early 70's from a German tv show called Beat Club. A handful of clips have made it onto DVDs for sale, but nowadays, you're hard pressed to find any music on VH-1 at all, let alone anything good.

Ahh, these network executives. Hopefully someday they'll get it right.

Yea, I do think that "Play With Me Sesame" will go out soon, why? Well, since Sesame Street isn't shown and the majority of Non-Sesame Workshop shows are on I know that PWMS is going, that's the reason we now have the new channel Sprout hosting all the Sesame Workshop (or some of the recent I must say) shows. :frown:
