i wanted to post this last night after driving back and forth through school and seeing all of this mess they call houston. i also was inspired by watching head of state yesterday because it seems like politicians don't care about the poor people. all they care about is who will give them money and support them..

Well it does seem that politicians are self motivated. I don't think that they're all as bad as all that, though. Some of them probably see the situation and feel like their hands are tied, while others may see it and simply sit on their hands and try to wish it all away. In either case, they are all in a position to get things done and fall short of doing it.

Just a personal position but I try to see both sides of the coin, as well.

Of course, those in poverty seeing the fancy grounds of the school might be the inspiration someone (who might otherwise not take a chance on a better life) needs to go in the right direction!! Maybe there is a positive outcome of it all in the end.

However, I DO feel that many areas of cities are forgotten about. Here, in Memphis, you can ride down an 'uppity' street with 3 or 4 stories in a huge house, make one turn and a block later find yourself looking at what seems the remains of a third world country from 600 years ago!!

ya i know...you go down one street and everything is ok. drive down for 5 minutes and you get in the slums of the city. i don't know it's seems as if politicains are all talk and when they get into office, they don't do as much as what they said when they were running for office...but it's not all the politicians fault. the rest of the city needs to do something too.

Most of the politicians do care a great deal. But a lot of the legislation gets tied up in partisan politics.

Yeah, with the split down the middle (sometimes 3 ways) of the political beliefs, there may be a cause there--possibly, one wants to do something and the others, as opposing political parties, don't wanna do it.

Folks oughta get past all that and say, "We meet today for a common cause..." and just DO something.

I have never in my life seen where there was any helping factors in having seperate political parties. It causes too many important things to be delayed and then nothing ends up getting done.

I wish I ruled the world, things would be different. That, and I'd own the JHC!! LOL!!
