If you watched the Muppets Tonight then you know about Nigel the green control room manager with the floppy nose.

Anyone know what kind of material makes his nose flop like that? I've seen many puppets with ears and noses that flop around with movement. How is this achieved?

thinner foam? I've been able to create some floppiness with 1/2 inch sheets of foam. It holds a 3d shape, but wabbles around. However, I have had problems with these shapes caving in a bit, but there are simple ways to deal with that.

The nose also kind of jiggles. I'm thinking its a material, like the stuff those 25 cent sticky hands are made of. Because his nose wobbles even after he's moving. Does that make sense?

Old school puppet stuff, huh? Sounds like some of that secret Black Book muppet builders stuff to me.

Maybe he puts a weight at the end of the nose to make the foam jiggle.

Ravage, do you know who built Nigel?

I've never seen the puppet so I have no idea how it was actually built, but as Ravagefrackle says it's all in the pattern. It doesn't require any special material. I doubt there is any weight in the end of the nose, if there was it probably wouldn't be able to jiggle.
