Did a search and didnt see this posted yet, sorry if you've been over this already.

Lots of hype regarding the two new TV shows that George Lucas is putting togther. The first, a CGI animated clone wars series, a half hour long each, at least one full season starting 2008. The trailer has been released, I think it looks amazing:

The 2nd is a live action series in between Episodes III and IV, each an hour long, it will run 4 season for a total of 100 episodes starting 2009. Its been reported that Lucas is trying to get some of the writers from "Lost" and "Heroes" on board as casting for those potitions has begun, and the series is expected to be similar in style. Sounds good.

I'm real excited about the 2009 Star Wars show, I remember thinking when I was younger that they should do that. The new Clone Wars sounds alright, but 1) I'm not really into CGI, and 2) I'd like to see some other Star Wars stuff besides "The Old Republic". Still looking forward to it though.

I'm looking forward to these as well. It will be interesting to see how many of the films' characters show up in the live-action series. I'm guessing we'll see more of Darth Vader, Boba Fett, the droids & Chewbacca. Maybe even Jar Jar & Boss Nass. Yoda and Ben, maybe? It should be fun & hopefully a worthy addition to the "Star Wars" adventures.

Apparently the show will follow 4 seperate characters and storys, all tied to the main plot. I think its a good bet that many of those names will be in the show, I am personally hoping they finally introduce us to Mara Jada, the fans have been screaming for it.

I enjoyed the clone wars cartoons, but didnt go nuts over them either. I think the CGi in that trailer is amazing though, and it should really make for some solid action sequences. Im looking forward to seeing them go even deeper into the story aswell. One things for sure, it'll be better than 99% of the garabage on prime time TV today.

After reading up on some of the info about 'Clone Wars' on Wikipedia, I'm more ecxited about it. I'm especially looking forward to the fact that it won't focus mainly on Anakin.
