Here's a thought...

I hope if there ARE new characters there's less play on words with their names... None of the original cast had corny names like "Spamela Hamderson" or crud like that. While it IS kinda funny, it's a little cheap for our foam-rubber friends.

and i think we need a Hip Hop Muppet maybe bring back Franklin from the 70's

There are already a lot od old guy Muppets. Statler and Waldorf, Pops, the newsman (not that old, but his hair looks like a wig), a guy called George from MFS, and George the janitor.

is george the old guy who is in the bathroom at the start of MFS?
would people say dr. phil is old???

I think they should make ALF guest star in one episode. Other wise I think they should make the fraggles, especially Wembley a main character. But
I do agree they should put Scooter (the girl off of the muppet babies) on it.
All three things would make it really funny!
