Simon is a big fat boob. And should be the last one to talk.

I just did a search and found nothing. Just that he ignored the question at a press conference.

I also discovered a site with all of his songs from American Idol available for download. I'm busy making me a Clay CD now. :flirt: :sing: :flirt:

And I did find out that Reuben will be playing himself in a short cameo in Scooby Doo. You were 100% right Kevin.

Thank you!

Your friend, the frog, prides himself on his accuracy when reporting the news! Or, wait. Am I the bear? I don't think so, I'm wearing a neck-a-tie. But, frogs don't wear fur, so I must be the bear.

:embarrassed:

Nate:

Where is your station?

I used to work at both KQQ(?) 99.9 (formerly Q-FM, which has a new name now, I'm sure) and at 93.7 FM KIZZ. I've done everything from production to announcing to the television weather for KMOT 10.

HATED those late-night shifts...was the only female, single parent in the whole station, yet got those 6-midnight, 6 a.m.-noon, 6 p.m.-midnight shifts constantly on weekends. Think they were taking advantage of me for quite some time...when the guys wanted time off, they got it, plus they got the raises; when I asked for time off to take the kid to the doctor or something, they raised heck about it, and when I found out that the station promoted two new announcers (both male) who had come from the same school I did (a year AFTER me), over me, I left to attend college. The station threatened to sue me, but I asked them if they knew what the words "equal rights" meant. Yeah, I was ****** about it by then, but hey, after two years of crap I think they deserved it. I found out the station did that to two more women announcers they hired, and one of them ended up taking the station to court...

Really loved doing radio work, though. Just hated the hours and the "old boy" network that my one station had going...that's okay, though. The guy running it tried to change the format to country & western from rock and boy, what a blasting he got from listeners and the owners of the station! We were country for about a month, and when those first ratings came in...oh, boy did it hit the fan!

Well, that was then, this is now. Perhaps things have changed for women in the world of radio...Have they, Nate?

And in regard to favorite horror movies, while I love "Psycho" and liked "Exorcist" (barring the part when she jerks her head around), I hadn't heard of the other one you mentioned. Also, George Romero's version of "Dawn of the Dead" is being remade. I don't know why people want to remake movies; even if they are bad they are sometimes still good...

It's really hard for me to say how much things have changed since I don't know when you worked in a station.

Obviously digital technology has radically changed the world of broadcasting. Most stations are totally digital now, and a majority of them don't even have live jocks in the studio, especially smaller stations and independent stations. They simply cannot afford it anymore. I've been lucky enough to have been trained with old equpiment (carts, etc), as well as working extensively with new digital technology both in production and programming.

I'm lucky that I work for a corporate station, which has its drawbacks at times, but all in all is okay. Entercom media is actually the third largest radio broadcaster in the country. We have three stations in our cluster in Memphis, 2 FM and 1 AM station (which I is basically ignored). My station (94.1 the Buzz) is one of the biggest stations in Memphis.

As far as radio being a boy's club, I don't see that here. But I don't know whether the station you were at was an independently owned station, a small regional cluster, or a corporate station. Guess that just depends on the environment, just like any other job.

94.1 The Buzz rules!

They, along with Rock 103 (on some level or another) benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis.

94.1 The Buzz does it indirectly though. They sponsor our yearly Nightmarez haunted house attraction from which proceeds go to the RMH. Muley the Mule plays his alter-ego DracMula during this time.

Rock 103, on the other hand, keeps RMH as their pet charity and do Radiothons each February, at which time my character Muley is Maitre'D at Bosco's Celebrity Waiter Night, one of the Hosts of the Gibson Guitar Factory Leather Ball and the Radiothon itself.

Well, continuing on with more movies, I said I wasn't going to do it, I swore up and down I wouldn't see it... but I saw it. I saw The Hulk last night. And you know something? I'm glad I did.

The animation still bugs me a little, though, I now understand why he's able to jump so stinkin' far. But, I gotta tell you, those commercials DO NOT do the movie justice. When going in, I expected a boring, storyless, badly animated action flick (I've already stated before that without a good story, I hate action films). Being that it was the Hulk, and typically you expect the Hulk to be nothing but SMASH THIS! SMASH THAT! SAVE PRETTY LADY! KILL BAD GUY! The end. It wasn't. It had heart. It was a very emotional film. You have the Hulk, and Betty (Jennifer Connoley) dealing with so many issues that arise with the Hulk coming about. (I kept expecting the Hulk was going to come up to Jennifer's character and say: "Bet-ty friend!" like Ludo, but it never happened) If the Hulk looking fake is the only reason your hesitant to see the movie, see the movie. It's got a good story. The Hulk himself is not too impressive, (except in a few key shots, which I won't tell you about) but that's not why I liked the movie. As I've said, it was a very good story. Many of you should really like the "comic book" approach they took to it as well. It's pretty cool some of the inventive ways they do scene wipes (yeah, I don't know the official term). It's pretty cool!

All-in-all, the movie probably could have been better, but it was good.

Where's the imagination? It's a comic book character. Is it that you don't like the comic book character to begin with? From what I hear, this is more of an intelligent thriller than a typical action flick. I'm seiing it mid-week. Mostly good reviews so far except for one from the New York Times, but who can trust them these days. From all we know a monkey wrote it - and without seeing the film. LOL! I found it suspicious they used a lot of the same key phrases written by critics who saw the unfinished pirated copy a few weeks ago. Hmmmm. Would they do something so sinister? Nah, not the New York Times.

no, i don't read comic books. i was just asking when the guy turns into the hulk, does he some how get dumber for some odd reason. i was just asking a question, not asking to get attacked.........
