My Pet Monster

The toy, the show, etc. Anyone recall?

I saw one for $5 a few years back - it even talked. I almost got it because I didn't have one years ago. But then, I decided it would just sit there and look cool, so what's the point.

But he's still cool

This month I think, and yea, it's annoying....all the time people take things that are not broke, and decide to "fix" them. :frown:

That's the norm for internet sites. It doesn't matter how much people hate it, or how many people protest or how many visitors they lose due to site crashes... they'll do it anyway because they think new automatically = GREAT, even if their IT staff has no clue what they're doing. Even new Coke was pulled after complaints. I've been to countless sites that don't look better, and are much harder to use thanks to funky new technology. Will say that uploading stuff to YT is easier now, but that's about the only good change they had.

most of these changes are to make the sites look better on mobile devices... ie. phones, ipods and whatnots

while i admit some are just awful i dont mind the imdb one

To give them some credit, imdb LOOKS ok. Its a bit sleeker than the older layout, but putting all the important links at the bottom is where they went wrong. Even on a cell phone, how is that helping anyone?

The imdb layout is fine for movies, but it's not as easy to see entire filmographies of actors with the new layout. The old one was basically a list on an internet page. Maybe some people do more with imdb, but all I ever want is a list of films.
