Phillip and a few others of us were rather prophetic on that, huh?
Yeah, amazing that isn't it ! Of course it was totally phrophetic ..... and next week i'll be ice skating in a tutu with Britney Spears !

Shame about Gonzo's new head sculpt. Henson made them take off some of the new improvements so it is just a purpley nose now without the yellow'ish paint on top. It looks like the Mega may have the right coloring though !

Isn't it still a mix of blue and purple? From the pictures I've seen it looks pretty weird. Not what we all expected at all.

it seems to depend on who's taking the photo....still looks great in most pics I've seen, even if it's not as perfect as the prototype paint...

but I guess the real test will be when I get it in my hands

Excellent.

I was thinking they didnt' do that great a job on "Carnie Gonzo with Poops out of a Cannon Action." Stupid child-safety laws... When I was a kid, Gonzo woulda come flyin outta that there cannon at about Mach 2 and take little Jimmy's sister right outta the room and drop her now-one-eyed butt off at the hospital before landing in Utah where he killed some locals dog as he re-entered the atmosphere!!! I've taken dumps with more velocity than Gonzo comes outta that cannon. Ruined 2 cannons trying to figure out a way to jack that spring up. The one I used is too powerful and cracked the back outta the cannon as I tried to load it. Or it broke the firing mechanism. Junk.

Anyway Luke, if you get that date with Britney, lemme know, I thought I was the only one with that particular fantasy.

I forgot my point... The new head sculpt is far more accurate. I thought they did a pretty bunk job on this Gonzo since all the others are spot-on. Kudos Palisades. Keep em coming and I'll keep bugging the Select Stockboy at my Select Target.

If only all action figures could be so exact, so accurate, so well-crafted! If only all action figure companies could be so meticulous and get it so right!
The only other figurine company I've seen with as much attention to detail is McFarlane Toys. Their Movie Maniacs series is truly amazing (so are many of their other series).

Where Palisades improves upon McFarlane however, is that their figures aren't heavily "pre-posed" like the McFarlane figures. McFarlane includes articulated joints on many of their figures, but because of the styled posing, alternative poses are nearly impossible to achieve without looking goofy.

The Palisades Muppet series figures are nice and straight, with very smooth joint articulation, which makes for some excellent poseability.

I would pretty much sell my soul for a FULL set of Palisades Muppet Action Figure Series. Then, until it came time to cash in said soul, I'd lock myself in room and recreate all 30 years of TMS.

Now if only Palisades would do a Fraggle Rock and Dark Crystal series...
