I just came from www.palisadestoys.com and I just HAD to come here and post. Check out the comparison shots in today's bit.

Ken, I have to hand it to you and the Palisades guys. The re-shaping of Gonzo's head to it's correct shape and fullness, the tucking of his fur behind his eyelids, the raising of his point of focus upward, both in his head and his eyes themselves, the re-shaping of the eyelids and refocusing of the pupils to match the puppet, the re-curving the nose, the change in the nose's thickness, the change in the width of his mouth- all of these changes make him look less like just a decent action figure and more like a replica of the puppet! If only all action figures could be so exact, so accurate, so well-crafted! If only all action figure companies could be so meticulous and get it so right!

Wonderful work, guys! Keep it up! (Sorry I haven't got enough firstborn children to go around :stick_out_tongue: !)

I agree, this looks terrific!!
ME TOO!!! Maybe Henson will expect the same out of other companies in the future. It will be a treat to have two Great Gonzos out at the same time - the bust and the action figure.

I could only HOPE that Henson will be more descriminating on their products and not just put out junk!! Seems they're getting better at it, because even the Jack in the Box figures looked good!

After looking at these changes, I would really like to see the next Mega be Purple Tux Gonzo. There is just so much detail Palisades could add to this fantastic sculpt at a large scale.

What do you guys think? Would you buy a Mega Purple Tux Gonzo? Do you think it would appeal to the masses? A few years ago, Henson research discovered that Gonzo was the most popular Muppet with casual fans, so this might be a great choice to give the Mega line more life.

I think it should be a hot-shot character, and why not Gonzo?? They should list on the back of the box the other characters they think may be coming out next, to give someone buying the line an idea of what they're getting into.

The problem is they can't list what megas are next because they don't know. There really isn't anything set in stone that the megas will continue. Animal may be the last Mega. :frown:

If the Megas do continue though, it should definatly be Gonzo. When I saw the new head sculpt in some convention pics, it looked really weird, but now that some good shots are posted, it looks totally perfect. I've never seen a Gonzo so perfectly done, even the nose is purple!

You BET I would! Gonzo's always been one of my favorite Muppets! A Gonzo like this is a childhood dream come true!:concern:

Phillip and a few others of us were rather prophetic on that, huh?
