Besides, I just don't picture Bert and Ernie being animated, that takes the
MuppetMagic out of things.

Why clay-mation Bert and Ernie...Why not puppets? What the dicken's are they thinking?

I'm not liking the sounds of this new Ernie and Bert gig.

They should stay as mupptesm rather then clay.

I do belive this is one of the 'worst' transactions in history, right up
there with the live action movie "The Flintsones", "Josie and the
Pussycats" (*barf!*)

I would love to see Bert and Ernie in animation or clay mation. That would be pretty cool. Hope to see it.

You do recall, Muppet babies, Fraggle Rock, and Dog City were animated, right? Plus they did animate numerous SS characters into segments over the years.

Makin' it EZ!

Think of it this way... if these two p ) are four inches tall, it's cheaper to make dramatic sets than the full sized characters. It also allows more variety in camera angles, as you can do crazy overhead shots without having to hide Eric and Steve/John.

So while it's likely more expensive, it's more liberating creatively.

I think I'm kinda comfortable with clay versions of Bert and Ernie... mainly because they are both forms of "puppets" one way or another.
