Now Mucha Lucha! There was a Latino focused show that didn't suck... at least for the first 2 seasons... didn't care for season 3 at all.

Not a cartoon, but for a Latino-based show (somewhat) I like Chico and the Man.

BNow back to the fact of the matter... will this actually get anyone's attention? Seems that Dora hasn't really been around all that long enough to try to appeal to older audiences. Dora still seems to pack the little kids in, unfortunately... Unlike Rugrats, when they thought that they were losing an audience. Sure, some girls have grown up with her, and now are entering their early tweens, but would it sell to them?

I guess I'm in that group, (Dora started when I was around 5) and I immediately hated her. The premise of the show was okay-- teach kids Spanish and give them an advantage in life and whatnot-- but it was so slooooooow I couldn't stand it. Even at 5 I refused to be treated like I was brain-numbingly stupid. Thanks goodness Sesame Street did it better. Give me Professor Grover or Rosita anyday.

It's not really an issue of maturity or subject, I watch kids shows if they're good (i.e Sesame Street of course) but it's just a terrible show. Plus now they've got NiHao Kai-Lan, which isn't much better...

But I think the idea is that the older Dora would make special and online shows. It's not a replacement for the little tom boyish Dora many kids around the world love.
