I think we've had a little too much Rizzo in MCC and MTI. Rizzo and Gonzo have a great dynamoc and I think that was good on Muppets Tonight. Amazing Dicoveries was funny and I think something like that could be carried over into the new show. As for the mix of old and new, I think we need the old characters as the base. New characters can come in and if they work they stay. We shouldn'r favor old over new or new over old. A balance is good. Pepe has come into the mix nicely and Jonny seems to be doing ok. When the new muppet show comes out it will be easier to fit in all the characters because it will be sketches. Every week can be different and I'm sure the screen will be filled with as many muppets as possible.

I am not certain what I find more important:
seeing more of the old chars, or giving the new ones screentime.

What do you people think?
i think it's important that the old characters are featured as much as possible, because after all, they are the ones that made the muppets the muppets. characters like rowlf, pops, link hogthrob, janice, etc. don't need to just go away. although i know where you're coming from. i get tired of seeing characters like rowlf just have a line or two or nothing at all and get used in the background. if you're going to use the character then use it. don't have a character just simply in the background having little lines at all while a new character gets more screen time...it kinda makes me mad when one of the new characters has more to say in a movie or special than one of the old characters...it's like the writers and the performers are telling the audience that this character used to be great, but now it's time we have a new character take its place...

Yes, I hope they make a good balance between old and new ones. But if nobody can do a character who lost his voice, then a charcter should be removed I think. I heard that the new Sam is terrible. I want a good Sam or no Sam.

What`s the deal anyway with Sam. Why doesn`t the guy who does Fozzie do Sam. It`s the Fozzie voice but lower.

About getting to much characters (if charcters never dissapear, there will be more and more), they will have to make more shows:big_grin:

With regard to losing the voices, why can't prefesionals be got in to replace them, some say it wouldn't have the feel of the other performers, but hey, isn't it the script writters that write what is to be said and give it a feel?

if someone can step up and say they can do a pretty good sam the eagle voice, then let them do it...but if kevin clash is the new performer for sam, then we'll just have to get used to sams new voice....

I don`t think so. Since Whitmire does Kermit, Kermit has become a totally new character. OK, the script writers have very much influence, but the eprformers too. I think its 50-50
