Hey Guys,

I just got the new 25th Anniversary CD, and it sounds pretty excellent. I think the album's best feature is the insert, with new quotes and info about TMS and the movies, along with some nice, new pictures!

The new songs (TMTM), along with the frequently released TMS songs ("Tenderly", "Wishing Song", "What Now My Love?") balance the sound of the CD nicely.

My only complaint: Why is "Lullaby of Birdland" listed on the CD, when it's nowhere to be found?

- Billy

"Lullaby of Birdland" is the little rift used during part of Mahna Mahna.

The original 1977 record and cassette credits it as "MAH NA MAH NA (Umiliani) with Lullaby Of Birdland (Shearing, Forster)".

I picked mine up at Best Buy. So if you have a Best Buy in your area, look there (in the soundtrack section, that's where I found my copy).

Thanks Phil, but what does this exactly have to do with the recording? Why wasn't "Manha Manha" listed like that on the 1993 "Muppet Hits" CD?

I'm in love with the cd....I used to have The Muppet Show album (on the insert its the A one). I REALLY wish that they would've included the song "Halfway Down the Stairs" by Robin. The major let-down of the album...no "Saying Good-Bye" from MTM. :frown: But other than that...I'm 99.95% happy with the album!!!!! Hopefully there'll be a Volume 2!

I'd love to get this CD (no contests, though. I have BAAAAAAAD Luck, especially Lately). I agree with Telly, though. I'd love to see a volume 2 made, especially since it doesn't even have my favorite MTI song (it has Love Lead us here, though) which is Cabin Fever. I can't find the MTI Soundtrack anywhere, and I don't want to use E-bay!

sounds good, but I have a querstion...what's withthe "going to go back there someday" from MFS?? I don't remember that song in MFS, only from TMM...

also, I'm sad that there's no Robin or Rowlf..I wanted "onions make me cry" or "You and I and George" or "Cottleston Pie" and halfway down the stairs woul dbe cool to... I HATE that Love lead us here song from MTI...can't even watch that in the movie...have to fast forward...

but oh well...everything else sounds cool..anyone find this in Toronto yet? I am going to go looking on Thursday...

DrToot, I have the MTI soundtrack. The only thing is - I'm not willing to part with it though. I could burn it if you'd like. It might take awhile though cuz I don't have a cd burner. I'd have to have a friend do it.
"Cottelson Pie" (or whichever way its written) was one of the songs I forgot to add! I can't believe they didn't put Rowlf songs on the cd! He gets no credit now-a-days. :frown:
