Hey eveyone,

Most of you probably know Axtell Expressions - and if you don't check out www.axtell.com - and I hadn't been to their site in awhile but Steve Axtell sent me a link with a ton of their new puppets. Check it out at http://www.axtell.com/new.html

They have a good deal running right now - if you spend over $100 (and almost all their puppets are over that much) they throw in a 24" Amazing Ape. I assume it's the vinyl apes they are giving away and not the latex "pro" apes which run about $400 each.

I'm ashamed to admit I've never actually gotten around to buying an Axtell puppet (though I'm probably going to order the new Alley Cat) but I have never heard any complaints about their products and Steve is a well known, really well liked guy. Most of their puppets are in the $300 US price range, but they have some that sell for as little as $40.

Awww that really sucks! I just saw his line of "Diva" puppets and felt a ball drop in the pit of my stomach. I was just working on a new pattern to imitate some of the hollywood spoiled princess looks and was going to call it Diva. I hate it when people beat me to really good ideas. :smirk:

Now I gotta come up with a new name.

Really great puppets though, I've admired their work for years.

I've wanted the old storyteller for a while now. Maybe someday.

Well, "Diva" is a generic term. You could probably get away with it (although you're better off with your own original name) as long as the puppets don't look like Steve's.

"Big Bear" is polar bear-esque character I've had a trademark on for ten years. Axtell brought out there own "Big Bear" puppet a few years ago and they even sell a variant that's a polar bear. Steve and his people weren't ripping me off of course, it's just (like "Diva") a fairly generic name for a bear.

Yeah, I know. But I thought I was being clever, witty, & original.

I don't really know you well but from what I have seen of you in here and on your site, you're no plain 'ol "normal" anything.:zany:

Michelle- You can always go with a variation on the theme. Maybe call them "Prima Donnas" Your star character could be named Preema Donna, with her friend "Preema Deena" and so on...

Just a thought!

LOL! How funny! And Preema Deena can be married to Mr. Funky Cole Ma Deena. *giggle* :excited:

Great Idea though, I think I might use it!

too funny Jinx. Even if I didn't like puppet building I'd still love reading this forum. You all are hilarious.
