Can anyone help? I did not know where to post this but I know you all are very creative. I need new lyrics for Kermit to sing to the muppet show theme song , but I need them to be all about being drug free , and presenting it to school age children. Any serious ideas ???? Like instead of saying :its time to get things started on the muppet show tonight: saying its time to get things started in the Drug Free zone tonight. Something like that??????
I also posted in another thread about needing the theme song instrumental version.

Looks like to me you already have something going with the "drug free zone" line.

What did your attempt at the song look like?

Why use the Muppets though? Couldn't you use another character, one of your own, and write words to an original, or non puppet related score?

My two cents anyway

I could use my own. But the smiles and response that kermit gets from the kids is priceless. To them its like a moviestar is there . I mean when people see kermit, anyone that is, just cant help but to smile. Thats why.

But...

Are you sure Kermit is drug free?

You don't want some wild weekend in the seventies after a night on the town with the original Saturday Night Live cast to come back to haunt you.

Ha haaaaaaaaaaaa...(plop)

Sorry, but that's just funny...I can almost imagine Kermit giving Gilda Radner a hard time (literally!!!). :stick_out_tongue:

Ah--c'mon gang. Keep it clean and don't use Kermit's integrity for slander...

...or, in this case: SALAMANDER!
Huh? Huh? WOCKA WOCKA!!

Have you had any luck writing more to the song yet?

I started a Muley puppet show once by letting Kermit run up and do the whole "Hi-ho and welcome to the..." and Muley interrupted him.

"Woah, hold on, Frog," Muley said. "Wrong show!"

Kermit looked around, then looked behind the stage and at Muley, "Oh, yeah. Sorry about that."

It garnered a good laugh from all the audience of 20 people (it was during a class reunion pic-nic, and only 20 of the old classmates showed up to see the puppets--the rest were getting drunk. blah.)
