How many are there? What's the point of these movies? The best one was National Lampoon's Vaction with Chevy Chase. How many are they gonna continue to make?
What the shell is the point of National Lampoon's TV the movie? it seems like nothing more than a showcase for Steveo or someone like that to act like idiots and get kids to copy them.
I also really hated National lampoon goes to the Movies or Movie Mania, since it just parodied sweeping low budget drama and not any real films.

Pretty much all the Lampoon films after 1989 are in name only, and have little or nothing to do with the National Lampoon magazine itself. The name really exists today only as a logo and trademark for licensing purposes. The magazine itself ceased production in 1998.
Animal House (1978) Class Reunion (1982) Vacation (1983) Goes to the Movies (1983) European Vacation (1985) Christmas Vacation (1989) Loaded Weapon (1993) Last Resort (1994) Senior Trip (1995) Vegas Vacation (1997) Van Wilder (2002) Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure (2003) Adam & Eve (2005) Van Wilder 2 (2006)
These are the only Lampoon movies I could think of, but there are several more, some of which went straight to video and/or cable.

There were also several made-for-video Ernest specials and compilations, and a live-action Saturday morning series, Hey Vern! It's Ernest. Not to mention commercials for various products and a talking doll.
BTW, Jim Varney (a.k.a. Ernest) started his career performing Shakespeare.

Jim Varney did TONS of commercials throughout his lifetime. The Ernest character debuted in 1980, doing an advert (for all things) a local appearance by the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. Ernest shilled for various dairy companies throughout the country, natural gas companies, car dealerships, TV stations, hardware stores and Sprite soda.
