Rundown of the story for people who are too lazy to read the wikipedia article or are too young to watch the movie adaptation (bet you that you are one of those two):



Amy Fisher led a charmed life - wealthy parents, a great home, her own phone line, etc., etc., but the Jewish - Italian princess had a dark past.



When she was 12 years old, she was raped by the man that retiled her family's bathroom floor, and she was afraid to tell anyone.



In 1991, when Amy totaled the white Dodge her father had bought her for her 16th b-day, Daddy took the car and Amy to Complete Auto Body and Fender Repair to get it fixed.



It was there that Amy met the head mechanic and lady-killer, Joey Buttafuoco.



The two immediately fell in love, even though Amy was underage, and Joey had a wife and 2 kids. They quickly jumped into a torrid affair.



They had sex in hotel rooms, in Amy's house, and Joey's boat.



At Joey's suggestion, Amy began working as a prostitute; she was so popular that she took her job free-lance after a while.



She started sleeping with other men, but Joey didn't care, he was just in it for the sex. (funny joke... get it... "in it for the sex")
