Here's a new story to accompany the one I just bumped up again about annoying my brother.
One time I was sitting at the big kitchen table one afternoon, not doing anything at all just sitting there. Nothing on the table in front of me.
When my brother came in carrying the cat in his arms and he was singing portions of the song "There is Nothing like a Dame" from the musical "Dames at Sea"
"There is nothing like a dame. Nothing in the world. There is nothing you can name that is anything like a dame."
We had recently heard that song sung on a television show and he was singing some random lines really hamming them up.
He sang, "Nothing looks like a dame". Then he sang, "There are no cooks like a dame".
And then on the spur of the moment I sang, "There are no Garys like a goose".
The next thing I knew the cat was sliding all the way across the table towards me just like the way in Western saloons they slide the drinks along the table to you. The poor animal landed on my lap and jumped down to the floor. Without scratching me may I add.
I said, "Oh, now you've gone and given the cat a dreadful fright Gary".
And he cried, "Oh, you get people so angry Martin that they do things without thinking first".

Lol, oh my gosh, Marty!

Well, I do just have to say... poor kitty! I'm very glad the cat was ok.

And, hehe, I think it's so funny how good you were at bothering your brother! Ya gotta love that!

Thanks Caroline.
I coined that nickname for Gary because it seemed to fit so well since goose also began with the letter G. He didn't really like it too much. But I thought it was funny.

:3 Having brothers are sure fun!
I bother my mom more than my brother.
Shame on me--but I do it in the best way possible!
Me and my mom always make fun of each other in singing.
She tells me I have a very deep voice and starts exaggerating it by sounding like some male opera singer and says "I thought I had a daughter...not a son!" and then I'd wrinkle my nose and pout "MOM! Least I don't sound like a dying cat!...like that girl in the Christmas party..." and we'd laugh.

I stuck to nicknaming my brother Goose for quite a long time after that. Sometimes he would retaliate by calling me Moose, though that never upset me.
Poetic isn't it?
Gary Goose and Martin Moose.

XDD

My dad and bro call me skunk and I call my bro a pumpkin and my dad a walrus.

Seems so rude but blame our old habits.

I am cleaner than a soap!
though when I was really little I hated taking baths. That's why I got the bloody name. XD
